Development Project : On-Line Education Course Registration System

Description: This special project involves developing an application/portal/portlet to provide for online course scheduling and registration system for the WMPMI Education Operations

At a high level, this application would allow for -
- On-Line registration for courses
- Payment via Paypal when signed up
- Creating a schedule for each course
- Assigning Instructors to each day of the schedule
- Printing Certificates when course is completed

More details can be obtained from VP Education or Director of Web Operations
Needed Skills: Must have knowledge/experience with PHP. Helpful to have experience with MySQL.

Director of Education Operations

Description: • Secure the venues and make facilities arrangements for all course offerings. Specifically the PMP Certification Preparation Course.
• Work with VP to qualify instructors with board input.
• Solicit and coordinate course participants via sign-up sheets, and email.
• Develop and share pre-course packages with course participants detailing instructor biographies, venue details, meeting date/times, food options, course syllabus, and required materials.
• Understand and be able to explain all testing criteria.
• Manage Acteva registrations of all course participants (once we begin charging).
• Fill in as instructor when approved instructors unexpectedly cancel.

Chapter Newsletter Analysis

Description: Perform a needs assessment for the OnTarget Newsletter. Determine chapter membership and board desires and needs, reach and frequency of a printed or electonic newsletter as compared to other communication vehicles (email, etc.) Outline objectives and goals. Explore and recommend solutions.
